"Gully Detectives" season two review: sharper and funnier

The street-smart sleuth comedy returns with tighter plots, more laughs and a better villain, in eight episodes.

In this story

Season two of "Gully Detectives" drops its slow start and begins with a heist in the first scene. The three leads are now comfortable and the banter crackles.

Episode four, set entirely during a wedding, is the best of the season. The weakest, a flashback episode, drags.

It streams on the fictional Reelbox in eight 35-minute episodes, all released together.
