"Rangrez" music review: folk meets brass band

An album that pairs wedding-band brass with folk vocals and mostly gets away with it. Ten tracks, three standouts.

"Rangrez" is the second album from folk singer Mira Sawant (fictional). The new sound pairs her sparse voice with a full brass band.

Standouts are "Chadhti Dhoop", with a trumpet hook that sticks, and "Saanjh", a slow duet. The weaker second half repeats the formula.
