Box office weekend: "Pehli Baarish" holds, three new films stumble

The monsoon romance fell just 28 percent in its second weekend, a good hold. Three new releases opened to modest numbers.

"Pehli Baarish" added an estimated 9.2 crore over the weekend, taking its total to 71 crore. Word of mouth from older audiences has kept weekday numbers steady, which is unusual for a romance.

Of the three new films, the thriller "Safed Raat" fared best with 3.4 crore. The animation "Little Bhalu" opened at 1.1 crore.
