Streaming platforms add regional subtitles in eight languages

Reelbox says all new originals will have subtitles in Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati and Odia.

The fictional platform said subtitles will be added to every new original within a week of release, and to the back catalogue by March.

The company said it will use human translators for the first three languages and machine translation with human review for the remaining five.

Subscribers can switch subtitle language in the player. The back catalogue will be done in batches of 200 titles.
